The work" 1920 AD" presents a literary historical analysis of poetry written by authors, who entered Czech literature shortly after the Great War. The attention is devoted in particular to the poets who were born at the turn of the century and made their literary debuts in the so called first wave, i. e. 1919-1920. The work treats their literary endeavours on the background of wider literary context, and concentrates mainly on the first creative period of this generation, the period 1919-1922/23. An emphasis is put on the analysis of particular traits of the works (such as lyric Ich, subject-matter, verse structure, metamorphoses of the poetic language etc.).
